Welcome to IGNITE. I'm Natalie Montagnani, it's Founder.

I am on a mission to encourage women in business to have more impact and influence in our world, because I agree with the Dalai Lama that "The World Will Be Saved By the Western Woman."

Why? Because women offer diverse perspecitives, have collaborative leadership styles, focus on social impact, are proven to have more empathy and emotional intelligence.

Studies show that women's involvement in peace processes lead to more durable agreements and improved conflict resolution outcomes, women in leadership positions often perform better financially leading to more robust economies and stronger communities - and the ripple effect of women inspiring women cascades down to encouraging girls to pursue their ambitions, breaking down gender barriers and creating a more equitable future.

But we have a lot of work to do in order for that to happen:

Women still only hold 29% of corporate board seats (2023 Gender Diversity Index Report)
It will take 134 years to get gender parity at the current rate of progress (Global Gender Gap Report 2024).
In 2022, companies with solely female founders received a shockingly low rate of just 2.1% of all US venture capital (according to Pitchbook)
A female entrepreneur earns on average 44.3% less than a male entrepreneur (Partena Professional Report 2023).

In the UK alone, the potential is enormous - The Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship found that if women started and scaled businesses at the same rate as men, it could add a stagering £250 billion to the economy.
